Sharing and an ANNOUNCEMENT!

Gotta cut to the chase today and no lolli-gagging around! 

First I wanted to share a super cute, ULTRA FAST, and oh so CHEAP project I did last week....

RUN ladies... do NOT walk to you nearest and dearest Target store!  Look at all of the goodies in the $1 SPOT I found!

So, I didn't use all of the things here I bought, BUT I did make the cute mini coaster book for under $5.  I made it oh so quick and oh so effortlessly.   They had these super adorable foam alpha's, like "thickers", but ONLY a buck :), chipboard alphas, felt flowers, chipboard shapes, sweet little cardstcok tags, ribbons, and stickers.  Here is how I made my little album.

When I print pictures at Costco, I normally get both 4"x6" or 5"x7" as well as wallets made at the same time.  I figured that I can use the larger ones for my regular pages and then the smaller ones for my mini books.  Also, I find that I NEVER run out of pics might need in a crunch!  Go ahead and pick your theme and start gettin your pics glued or stapled to the coasters.

Step 2: Embellish, embellish, embellish

I first outlined a little doodled border on my pictures, then started glueing, stampling, and clipping stuff everywhere.  The only thing I didn't use from the $1 SPOT were some old Love, Elsie stickers and I only had a few of those in my stash, so it was nice to clear my sticker sheet of those, and then some Prima flowers.

Step 3: Add Text

I used my computer to make really simple words.  I did them in Photoshop with a typewriter font, on an 8.5" x 11" sheet, then printed them on a piece of plain white cardstock.  Just cut out and then distress with some ink if ya like.

Looks like someone is having a Creative Team call!!!  It's been over 1 1/2 years  now so I figured it was about time to get myself organized and get my ass back in gear (digitally speaking that is)  :)  For those interested in applying for my call, lemme explain....  gotta back up a sec though!  This is my new kit that I have coming out next week:

Because I loved the colors and theme so much AND I have been well overdue for a digital freebie, I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone!   I have whipped up this little mini kit as well that is FREE :) and will be used for my call as well as just a plain ole goody for all my digital girls who come by and visit me here!

Alright, so if anyone is interested in applying for my CT (this is for digital/hybrid designs for my store) here is what you will need to...

Download this new mini kit here.  You have 1 week to create a layout using these goodies.  The layout must include items from this kit and can include items from other designers, but must be 85% "corina" stuff.  Once you have completed your layout/s, upload to your gallerie/s.  If you want, you can come back here to THIS post and link me to your layout!!!  In addition, you must also send me a little email answering the following questions:

#1 What other CT's are you currently on?

#2 What style best describes YOU?

#3 Do you do HYBRID scrapbooking?  If so, please include any samples you may have!

#4 Why do you think you think you would be a good fit for my team and the FPD Crew?

# 5 Please also send a link to your most COMPLETE gallery.

Send your emails WITH your layout attached using the "Live Outloud" mini kit as well as 2 other of your favorite layouts that best represent YOU.  Send emails to ctcall@funkyplaygrounddesigns.com NO LATER than 7-21 at 11PM E.S.T.

My "slave driver" details....

- Term= 6 months

- You are expected to create a minimum of 3 layouts per month.  On months when I am working on "paper" stuff and there is a lack of NEW digital product, you will STILL be expected to create 3 layouts using 90% of my product.  You will have complete access to ALL of my products... so you have plenty to work with!!!  You can find my products here directly in the store.

- Upload your layouts to a minimum of 3 galleries (FPD as well as 2 other galleries- digital, paper, hybrid, etc.)

That's about it... I'm pretty easy :)  OK, I actually have plenty more to share about my date last night, why my arms are so soar from the weekend, and why it hurts to breath, BUT I will save that for another time!!!!  Happy Monday everyone!  Enjoy the mini kit if you grab it.... and if you do I would love to know so shoot me a comment AND lemme see what ya did with it!

Arrrgh....blast you and your hybrid goodness!! LOL, the nearest Target is over an hour away (I know--a tragedy) and I just spent the weekend with friends that live a mile away from Target. Every time I visit them, I kid you not, I make one or two trips to to Target EVERY DAY. And of course, this was the one trip that I was trying to be "good" and totally avoided the dollar spot.
